University of Nigeria

Student Energy at University of Nigeria formed in 2015 is the first ever student organization concerned with energy in the first indigenous university in Nigeria (University of Nigeria) and the first Student Energy chapter in the continent of Africa. The chapter currently has 110 members spread across seven faculties within the University. It was established to be under the Centre for Energy Research and Development  (CERD) of the University and appreciates the support  a staff adviser Director of CERD (Dr. Paulinus Ugwoke) of the University as her Staff Adviser.  So far the chapter has been able to organize the first ever energy congress for the students in the University in December 2015 of which we received recommendations from students and staff of the University as they promised to continue supporting the chapter.

The chapter's programs and plans have been designed in a way that Nigeria will engage future energy leaders and address it's energy challenges in a sustainable medium to make impacts globally.

Our motto is "energy is supreme" knowing quite well that with a better, clean and sustainable energy, the future will be bright and that shows its supremacy.
