Ehsan is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with nearly a decade of experience within the energy sector. He has a Masters and Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from the Schulich School of Engineering at University of Calgary. He specialized on small-scale wind turbines for both urban and remote applications and operation monitoring of large-scale wind turbine operations. As part of his research, he collaborated with a large Canadian wind farm owner operating in both Eastern and Western Canada. He published the projects outcomes in several peer-reviewed journals and has presented in International and National renewable energy conferences.
Ehsan’s involvement in the renewable energy sector started with solar energy projects, which produced electricity for high-rise buildings in developing countries. His diverse portfolio also has several years of experience in the oil and gas industry working as a Mechanical Engineer, Project Engineer, and Engineering Management for major oil sand projects. He has been recognized for his outstanding work performance and significant cost reduction of all projects he has been involved in. He remains an active member in the America Society of Mechanical Engineers, Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, and Canadian Machinery Vibration Association.
