About the Student Energy Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is the governing body of Student Energy. The Board's job is to govern the affairs of the Organization within the framework of relevant legislation and standards including obligations as a charitable organization in Canada. The Board of Directors represents the Organization’s broader community and is given the legal authority and responsibility for the achievement of the organization's mission. The Board oversees the management of the Organization and specifically ensures strong long-term financial health. The Student Energy Board meets roughly every 6-8 weeks depending on the needs of the organization at a given point in time. The Board also receives standard monthly check-in reports and more in-depth quarterly reviews to stay up to date on major strategic developments. The Board usually only provides input on issues of strategic or managerial importance, not day-to-day operations.
Being a member of our Board allows individuals to engage in the mission of Student Energy and contribute to building the next generation of leaders.
