Student Energy is a HUGE fan of the organization CliMates.  They do for climate change, what we do for energy - educate and engage the world's youth on the topic.  CliMates will be in full force at COP helping young people to better understand the process and have their voices heard.  Over at Student Energy, we are newbies to the process and therefore plan on supporting other youth initiatives in every way we can on behalf of our community.  Energy and climate are inextricably linked and it is time for a sustainable transition on both fronts.

CliMates recently released their Statement for COP21 and we suggest youth out there give it a read.  It touches on the key issues of the negotiations and makes concrete recommendations based on our generation's values and interests.  Also, follow CliMates on twitter for COP21 updates as they are happening.

We also suggest checking out the 11th Conference of the Youth (COY11) taking place just before the opening of COP.  It is a great place to meet other young people before the summit commences. It's not too late to register!

And finally, don't forget to check out our Innovation Jam, happening December 5 in downtown Paris.  This is a place for you brainstorm solutions with the world's current experts and influencers on energy.
