A new documentary on the solar industry, called Catching The Sun, will be premiering in select theatres in the United States in April. The film, directed by Shalini Kantayya, follows the stories of workers and entrepreneurs in the U.S. and China as they lead the race to a clean energy future. Their successes and failures speak to one of the biggest questions of our time: Will the U.S. actually be able to build a clean energy economy that works for everyone? The film features a host of renewable energy heavy hitters, like Jigar Shah, Danny Kennedy, David Crane, Van Jones, and other solar and green job leaders. As a student, this film can be a powerful tool for engaging peers in solutions to climate change and income inequality, and seed ideas on how to build a clean energy economy.

Screenings run from April 4-21, 2016Click here for a list of screenings in the United States or host your own if you don’t live in one of the locations. Email info@studentenergy.org if you would like more information about hosting your own screening.
